چکیده
A greenhouse experiment and a 2-yr field trial were conducted to compare various S sources for soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] grown on an acid Oxisol in Brazil. In the greenhouse, included ammonium sulfate (AMS), monoammonium phosphate with ratio = 50:50 of AMS/elemental (ES) – (AMS + ES), ES bentonite containing 90% ES. All surface-applied at 0, 5, 10, 20, 40 mg kg–1. Separately, all incorporated into soil 20 Yield uptake by grain followed order AMS MAP ES) > bentonite. No significant differences yield observed between surface application incorporation, except those greater than incorporation ES). trial, single superphosphate (SSP) phosphogypsum (PG) also included. 30 kg ha–1 yr–1. Additionally, was split-applied equal amounts planting R1 stage. both years, PG SSP control. The highest split-application first but not second year. benefit split over one-time year probably caused reduced SO4–S leaching.

Exoproteome profiles of Clostridium cellulovorans grown on various carbon sources.
The cellulosome is a complex of cellulosomal proteins bound to scaffolding proteins. This complex is considered the most efficient system for cellulose degradation. Clostridium cellulovorans, which is known to produce cellulosomes, changes the composition of its cellulosomes depending on the growth substrates. However, studies have investigated only cellulosomal proteins; profile changes in non...
متن کاملEvent DAS-444Ø6-6 soybean grown in Brazil is compositionally equivalent to non-transgenic soybean
Soybean event DAS-444Ø6-6 is tolerant to the herbicides 2,4-D, glyphosate, and glufosinate. An investigation of potential unintended adverse compositional changes in a genetically modified crop is required to meet government regulatory requirements in various geographies. A study to meet these requirements in Brazil was completed demonstrating compositional equivalency between DAS-444Ø6-6 and n...
متن کاملAdaptation to various sources of dietary sulfur by ruminants.
The objective of these experiments was to determine adaptation by ruminants to dietary sulfur. In Exp. 1, lambs (n = 54; BW = 33.6 ± 0.4 kg) were allotted to 3 treatments: 1) 0% added dietary S (0%S), 2) 0.2% added dietary S (0.2%S), or 3) 0.4% added dietary S (0.4%S). Sulfur was added to the diet as Na(2)SO(4). Lambs fed the 0.2%S and 0.4%S diets had greater (P < 0.01) ADG and G:F compared to ...
